This coffee hails from Sidamo Dara, where fertile soil and ideal climate make it perfect for growing exceptional coffee. The coffee is naturally processed at a 2.8-hectare station with 200 drying beds, sourced from small local farmers growing heirloom varieties nearby.
The natural processing leaves the ripe cherry to sun-dry for 10–20 days, resulting in a sweeter, fruitier flavor. After reaching the ideal moisture, the beans are stored briefly to deepen their flavors before hulling.
Collected from over 500 family farms, the beans are sent to the Mubaric washing station, where a skilled team ensures high-quality results each year. This community-oriented region supports farmers ethically, offering financial help and premium prices.
In Sidamo Dara, coffee is more than just a crop; it’s a cultural tradition symbolizing hospitality and friendship. Generations have cultivated coffee here by handpicking ripe cherries from October to December, connecting small, close-knit communities through this shared craft.
